Does CBD Make You High?

Wondering if you should incorporate CBD into your daily wellness routine? Are you worried about the effects? Let’s get the facts straight.

Cannabinoids are found in the cannabis plants.  Probably the most well-known cannabinoid is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This compound is known for its psychoactive effects when consumed with cannabis, or marijuana. THC produces what many consider a “high,” or an altered state characterized by euphoria, pleasure, or heightened sensory perception.

CBD doesn’t cause a high like THC. Many individuals might assume CBD causes the same effects as marijuana since both can be found in the same cannabis plant. However, CBD alone is nonintoxicating and will not cause a high.

CBD can also be derived from the hemp plant. Hemp has no psychoactive effects, either. According to Healthline, in many states, only hemp-derived CBD is legally available. These products, by law, can have no more than 0.3 percent THC which isn’t enough to create any psychoactive symptoms.

All of the products on Rocky Mountain Botanicals are derived from hemp and comply with this regulation to have less than .3% THC content.
